Anyone Successfully Lowered a facelift V8?
Hi all,
Finally got my P450 a few months back. When I started my search last year I did contact VAP regarding lowering springs but they had mixed results on the facelift cars so withdrew the product. I believe the rear doesn't always lower regardless if it's RWD or AWD (mine is RWD P450).
Had a look on the usual vendors like Eibach, H&R etc, but no springs available either.
I don't want coilovers, but anyone else managed to successfully lower their facelift cars with just springs? If so, what brand?

By coincidence I found this link tonight, but no mention of which springs, but must be possible. Although a little low for my liking, prefer a subtle drop, 15 to 20mm.

I am not surprised. Technical fitment issues aside, lowering cars is a mod that many people are quite wary of for all the known reasons...those who wish to keep their cars "all original," those who do not want a "harsher" ride, those who fear scraping on driveway entrances/exits and the like, as well as those who feel that lowering will alter suspension geometry in a negative fashion and/or adversely affect damper-life via longer travel amplitudes, etc.
These are all very ligit concerns as there is no free lunch in this world, but having said that, the benefits [to me] far outweighed the potential downsides as my goal was to maximize handling feel and bringing the car into what I felt was a more pleasing posture. I couldn't be happier with the result.
