Recently I thanked the service manager for that and commented, "you sure treat us well, even though we didn't buy the car here." His response was with a big smile on his face, "that's the sales department's problem not mine, and I want to make sure you come back here every time you need service, so I can make my revenue targets."
These sales / service teams hate each others guts for some strange reason. I would guess it would be the sales people trying to sell and pushing the service folks to the limits. I don't know but it is stupid! Therefore I will go to a Jag service group, maybe even at the location that tried to screw me, just to show up in my nice new "Pair of jags" BTW, and let the sales guys think...."what the hell did I miss by being such an ***"! I get the satisfaction, the service from a couple of nice guys at the service desk, local, and a win win in my view. I agree, if you are nice they usually work with you nicely. Sales thinks most people are stupid and as such the dealings are stupid.

One more point. Jaguar is insist. that they leave the dealers to their own, and stay away from getting involved in their business. A lot of the service statements or issues on this forum reflect that "hands off policy". I don't think Jaguar gets involved on what is sold where as much as this thread implies. Could be wrong, but after talking to a lot of dealers this past year, I haven't come across a lot of this or any of this. It was usually dealing with the trade that was the issue (real or a smoke screen to make me go away). Who knows?

Isn't that the V6 base model?

So the I did the test drive on Saturday, wow that car screams!!!

Unfortunately, they told me lease rates have gotten worse and quoted me at 1457.00 a month in addition to 5k due at signing. (7500k miles, 36mth lease).

That made my decision easier, I will definitely be holding off until I can get a better deal. I could buy a decent house or 2 decent cars for that price....

Is this still for the 2015 R? What are they saying the full price is? Should be $90K or less. At that you could do a PenFed loan at under $1k month, zero restrictions.

2016.

If I said 2015 in past posts that was my mistake. Msrp is 111k, "agreed selling price" was 99,xxx.

I am literally paying 1/2 that. For a 2016 purchased right when they came out. That is the crappiest "deal" I've heard.

Default Huh?

I just do not see how you can pay half that with nothing down and an R. Nothing I can do will make the number come out that low unless the cap cost is down in the range of a discounted S or Base. What were your numbers?

my 2015 R lease before the monthly tax is just about half of that as well with nothing down.

My residual was .56, mf .002. The cap cost on my car would need to have been less than $80,000 for me to have a lease payment in that ballpark. On a $109,000 car, I just cannot see how a dealer would do that.
I am just trying to understand for the next time. I was satisfied with my deal!

The selling price on my car was less than that.

Agreed, definitely not a deal. They said currently Jaguar's offers are geared toward selling the 2016 instead of leasing them...

I imagine it would be possible to get a deal in that ballpark for a '15 R.
