Default Jaguar S 2.7 D Sport MY2005 - Fuses and diodes are missing

Dealer All,

I have an interesting quiz for all of you with some usefull information and links.

Just bought a secondhand Jaguar S 2.7 D Sport MY2005 and found out that in Fuse Boxes some Relays and Diodes are missing.
Please see attached picture and schemas, missing diodes and relay are marked in RED.

Interesting that car is driving without any visual problems.
From what i have noticed is not working is a Cigar Lighter.
But for that I was blaming R1 Relay in PRIMARY JUNCTION FUSE BOX, located inside the car, see attached schema. I have replaced this one with spared on from Jaguar S (3.0 Benzine, MY 1999) Hope it is the same Fuse, although the p/n is slightly different.

Also I have found that there are some errors codes in Engineering Test Mode shown as: D900, E523, E200, E197, 9246, 9352, E518, E521, D752, D751, A882, E195

After doing some research I have translated those Codes by using the following list and link:

1XXX=P1XXX
9XXX=B1XXX
AXXX=B2XXX
DXXX=U1XXX
EXXX=U2XXX

... S-TYPE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC CODES table here: Jaguar X Type Instrument Cluster Diagnostic codes

This is what I have "translated" my errors to:
D900=U1900 - CLIMATE CONTROL NETWORK FAULT
E523=U2523 - ADAPTIVE SPEED CONTROL FAULT
E200=U2200 - Invalid data for Odometer
E197=U2197 - Invalid data for Vehicle Speed
B1352 - Ignition key-in - circuit failure
U1752 - Steering column lock system status message is missing from the general electronics control module
U1751 - Steering column lock system status message is missing from the rear electronics control module
B1246 - Dim panel potentiometer switch circuit failure

Strangly enough to say that some options (like adaptive Speed Control for example) I do not have (Well, at least I do not have additional buttons under the steering weal to activate it)

I have also had two times error: Transmission Fault on the dashboard, which disappear after restarting the engine.

Gents,
My questions to those of ou who can help and who loves rebuses are:

1. What could be the consequences of driving car without marked in attachments in RED Fuses and Diodes?
2. What are the P/Ns and amper of diodes marked as D1, D3 and D4 in attachment schemas?
3. After/ Before installing new fuse (like R1 for Cigar Lighter) or diode - do I need to disconnect battery and connect it again after some minutes?
4. What else could be the reason that Cigar Lighter is not working and there are no lights around it?

Thank you.

You may as well ignore those codes. You've no idea how old they are or what may have been happening. Just get an OBD tool if you've an interest in codes as they're so cheap now.

Do not add any fuses etc unless you are SURE what you're doing. You will be connecting who knows what. At the very least be sure you have the right handbook etc for your specific car (year, engine etc).

I don't know much about diesels but here is a pic of a box for sale on ebay, the relay set up looks the same as yours. It looks like you have more fuses fitted.

hmm... the diesel's unique in lots of ways. Not in JTIS. Not covered by the Electrical Guides most people have access to. Different make of PCM. Different fuel pumps. Etc.

Even its OBD codes are somewhat unique!

One for the informed or brave I reckon...

All most all cars having missing fuses. The fuse box covers a lot of different models and option packages. So yes it's normal to have some blanks in the different fuse boxes.

Like you said the car is driving fine.

Gents,

Thank you all.
Had a friend this morning was checking my fuses and indeed hi advised me the same - not all fuses and diodes should be installed - it is always depends on car configuration. Pity I do not have manual.
Does anybody know where to get specific for your configuration manual?

One not solved issue - cigarette lighter is not working and there is no light around it.
Can anybody advise troubleshooting steps?
Which diode (in primary junctions fuse box, i suppose) is responsible for cigarette lighter?
Attached is picture of my primary junction fuse box (R1 relay, which is missing on the pic, i have installed - did not solved problem)

Please advise.

Thank you.
