Hi Guys

I noticed a couple of things on my 2014 convertible relative to the audio system.

My car has the surround 770 watt system and when I lower the roof as the roof latches I get a boost in audio volume more related to the lower Frequencies spectrum.
For a while I have been saying to the wife I think the sound system sounds better when the roof is down then when up.
I wonder if the the car is programmed this way for lower freq?
Has anyone else noticed this.

 

Are there different settings available for roof up and roof down?

 

To be honest, I haven't noticed that. But my right foot may have something to do with it when the top is down.

 

Not that I am aware of. I just notice the last couple of time I lowered the roof that the sound changed and for the better it happened when you get the roof latched

I totally notice this. I actually just made a thread about it and found yours. I really wish I could keep it from changing. The low end sounds terrible with the roof down

 

You're just picking up added bass from those chrome pipes in the back.
