I assume so. That module is the VQM (Voltage Quality Module), and it replaced the battery that early cars have.

OP stated in a different post that he has a 2017 F Type. That means just a single battery. I had a similar situation with my 2016 when the battery started to get old. Replacing the battery fixed the issue. Shortly thereafter, I disconnected the wire in the trunk/boot to deactivate the system so it won't be a problem anymore 🙂.

I’ll have this installed as soon as I remove her winter pj’s in April/May. Really looking forward to the features it provides.

Mine worked for a single day when I got my Powertex Lifep04 battery. I'm assuming the BMS is not charging it up fully as it needs to be reset. Still haven't gotten around to doing that.

I have an Antigravity battery in my XE and had the BMS reset. The start top continues to work. Hopefully when you reset yours, all will be normal.

I've replaced the second/smaller battery when mine did the same thing. Now S/S works, just need to remember to switch it off every time :-)
The second battery or the capacitor based device on newer models is there to protect car critical electronics from powering down on engine start if battery voltage drops, so I've chosen to replace that smaller battery anyway when it failed.

The start/stop feature on my Alfa Stelvio stopped working some weeks or months ago (which was fine with me) until I replaced the battery last week. It's working now and I theorize that's because the original battery was not holding a sufficient charge.
