Default Bad expoxy job under F-Type?

Was checking out the under carriage of my 2024 F-Type and noticed under the passenger side what looks to be a bad epoxy or caulk job as it has a "drip" effect. I don't see this under the driver side. Is this normal or an example of bad workmanship?

Probably trying to cover up some sort of mistake perhaps?

I have something very similar going on underneath my 2024 R as well in at least one area. Haven’t looked too close, but when I’m putting my car up on my Quickjack I notice something like that close to the jack point on the passenger side towards the front of the car.

Thanks for mentioning this. It struck me a bit odd when I saw it, but it wasn’t something I was too alarmed over.

Clearly not a one-off situation at least. Can’t say I truly know what it is about. Curious to hear what others might have for info about it.

Perhaps it’s “normal”?

If you could say precisely where that is located I’d appreciate it. I’m just curious if it’s in the same spot? Just can’t clearly tell from your picture…

Thanks

It looks a lot like meringue. Did you drive over a pie?

Thanks
It's under the passenger side (right side-US), where the seat would be but closer to the edge. Can't get better photos because of lighting and how low the F-Type already is.

Okay, so that appears to be the exact location where mine is as well.

YUM!
PIE!

I was probably looking in the wrong place, but I didn't even see a seam... from my vantage point on the ground.
Our '14's 'frame rail' seemed to have a sound deadener strip covering it.

The part on which the glue is slapped on is metal, right - near the jack point?

First though was a jack misplacement and crack in the plastic.

Hmmm. I think you may be right. No idea when it could have happened though, ugh. But not an issue it seems or at least I'm hoping. I'll ask my Service Advisor when I take my F-Type in for its annual state in inspection this coming February.

I’m pretty sure it’s all metal where this is.
