Default Badge location template

My pedantic side wants to ensure I can return the badges to my car some time in the future if I change my mind. I had read that replacement badges came with a template that showed exactly where to place the badges; however, this is not the case. Why would I find such a template?

Actually, it is the case with regard to the leaper and JAGUAR script for the rear deck. You simply place the leaper in the place clearly indicated by the depressions and the logo below automatically sits in the correct position. But if you have removed the depressions for the leaper placement, you are on your own. The leaper and logo set come properly spaced for application.
But with regard to to the F-Type and model designation badges at the rear you'll have to depend on the clear photos that you no doubt took before removing them.

I am referring to the F-Type and AWD R badges. I didn't remove those badges, I simply didn't have the shop add them back on when they replaced the rear bumper cover. We won't get into why they had to replace the bumper cover, but it seemed like a good time to go debagged as the replacement didn't come with the badges.

This may help? I did this when I changed mine. I am neither pedantic, or even didactic...But sometimes a little **** or OCDish...

This gives a measurement from top, and relative position to taillight features...You can use masking tape to mark your lines...

Nice! Thanks, I'll put that in my file with the new badges.

You bet! Looks totally different now...My OCD kicked in, and I even had to wrap the green stripe on the R as it annoyed me that nothing else was green 🤷‍♂️

I hate to point this out, but my OCD commands me!
It appears your "F-Type" isn't level.
Maybe an optical issue due to curvature of the bumper?
Heading out to the garage now with a straightedge, level and caliper to check mine :-)

Yes..First picture I took..I went out and checked too. It is straight, but does look skewed. When you buy the cheapo Chinese ones, they are perfectly square...When I bought the OEM 2021 badge in black, it comes with a perspective skew to it to account for the curves in the panel. It is not square...But again, it is aligned as it should be...Just looks slanted in certain shots.

Could not find a picture of one new...but it gets smaller and is angled toward the E.

The way I drive, it could be at a 45 degree angle, and no one would notice

Jaguar on the back left, leaper on the folded up spoiler, but nothing else. Bad shot, apologies

I think eeeeek meant that, like me, he can't see the photo at all - just a "no entry" sign. I'm guessing you've got some privacy settings going on there.

I suspect Uncle is having a lend of us and is saying that the correct way to locate the badges is no badges (ie debadged)!

NO. This is already a running joke that isn't that funny. SO WEIRD. Pardon the commotion. LOL

I just meant you all know it's an F-Type, so you don't need to be told that. People who don't know it's an F-Type wouldn't know what that is, but they would want to understand it's a Jaguar.

Some other gent in the forum did this, and when my new one arrived, part of the swap out of the 2016 was they agreed to foot the bill on XPEL ultimate wrap, and did this for my at the time. =)
