My '15 base car does not have dual zone HVAC...drivers side is the same as the passenger.

Yes, its an option (part of the premium/vision pack), but not standard.

Correct, and my base car does not have it. I've had it on many cars and found it to be essentially worthless. That's particularly the case in the F-Type's miniscule cabin.

Hmm... ok, now I'm going to have to check mine when I get home because I have a '15 base model, with no options, and really thought that I had dual zone HVAC. I know there are two knobs, and each displays the temperature, but I hardly ever touch it and probably haven't tried to set them to different settings.

Yes, there are two knobs, but regardless of which one you turn it will change the indicator to the same temp on the other.

Oops... well I guess the fact that I've never even tried it and assumed it was there just reaffirms your point above about not needing it with the small cabin.

If you have dual-zone, there's a button on the climate screen to sync them - changing the driver's side also changes the passenger setting when sync'd. I'm guessing then changing the passenger side turns off syncing, but I can't say I've tried it.

Yes, that is what happens. I set it perfectly (synced) and my wife tries to turn on her seat heater and instead turns the knob and screws up the cabin temp. Then I go to extra features/climate and re synch it. It's essentially worthless as you say. If I could I would replace all three knobs with oil pressure, oil temperature and boost gauges, moving the climate controls to the main touch screen.

A Volkswagen. The residuals are better...

The Audis I was also considering offered active damping for ~£1k extra. At that price, I'll take them. Previous cars have had mechanical LSDs for a similar amount, so I ordered those.

£10k extra for the above is taking the Micky.
