Default Best place for 12V access under hood

Hello all,

Not a big DIY guy though handy enough, but I also don't trust the shops around here to get this right. I am adding Escort ZW5 laser jammers to the front only of my 2016 type-R. They wireless communicate with my max360c detector, so no holes through the firewall.

The control module that resides under the hood needs 12v power and has connectors that are meant to attach to the outside connections to the battery terminals. They're just crimped on standard connectors that could be changed out. Where else under the hood would be ideal for 12v access (switched or not doesn't matter as these shut down when the detector does) since the battery is in the trunk?

Thanks for helping a noob.

Logan:
Have you looked at your owner's manual? It will show you where the + point is (in the red-covered box on the right hand side) and the - point ( the threaded stud to the rear of the red-covered box).
The manual is your friend. Or have I misunderstood your question?

The manual is missing my friend, but you gave me the answer I needed. Thanks much.

The 'Owners Handbook' (for at least two markets) is available in the STICKY thread here:

Please post photos of your radar installation. I am interested in the same setup.
