Default Bigger

Went to track day and tooled around with the sponsors some, one who had an interesting modification( though I won't do it till warranty runs out and they figure out what's making my knocking sound coming from engine). But anyway, a European who opened up a shop in Charlotte,NC, said he could put a bigger fan in my supercharger(?), (ftype2014,S), said it would increase hp by 40hp minimum, anybody seen this done?

Would seem a lot easier to just do a pulley swap to accomplish the same thing. Doesn't sound right.

The Eaton is basically an air mover but bigger wouldn't necessarily be better because it is a contained design. If you increase the size of the impellers you should have less room for air lowering the amount of air moved. Typically to increase air throughput you go to a different kind of blower (twin screw), change the gearing (snake kit), and/or put on a different pulley setup (larger on the bottom, smaller on the blower). Now there could be a different model Eaton that pushes more air that uses the same case but why wouldn't you just swap out the supercharger? This seems really odd to me but it would be interesting to understand what he is actually talking about.
