I have a 2015 R which recently developed a clunking in the front right. I believe it may have been the strut mount expiring. I purchased an oem replacement but over torqued the strut nut and needed to buy a replacement strut. In lieu of an oem strut I found that many sites list the B4 26-231501 as a direct replacement. The oem is in fact a B4. When I assemble the strut though there is too much play. The spring does not compress. The replacement strut has the c clip for the spring shoulder mount about 28mm lower than oem. Has anyone used the B4 replacement and had success? Do I need some kind of spacer? I could be doing something wrong here as this is my first time working with struts. Thanks, Shashi
