Default Brake brake brake

So i got these on the car and I’m still alive to tell the story, ask me anything.

A few basic stuff:

Installation is straight forward, boxes came with everything you needed, nuts and bolts were torqued from the factory, oem dust shield had to be trimmed a little to fit.

Calipers are fixed 6 pot front 4 pot rear, 2 pieces forged construction.

Rotors are fixed 2 pieces, rotor and hat can be replaced alone but they are not floating or semi floating.

brake pads included are ceramic, I’m assuming these are more economy and street based pads as the initial bite and pedal feel are a bit softer than stock. The actual braking is consistent and confident, abs triggers normally.

Parking brake in a separate caliper now, uses oem plug for power and operation.

Front rotor 25lb

Rear 19.2lb

Rear caliper 8.2lb each with pads installed, the scale wasn't registering so I had to weight both together.

Front caliper 12.2 lb with bracket and pad, probably 11lb without?

can’t find the weight for the parking brake, but they were less than 10lbs total which is 2 calipers and 2 motors.

Could you weigh the stock parts and compare?
Where did you get them?
How much?
Do you do any track or very spirited driving to actually see if they are better than stock?

Did not weight the stock as they are much much heavier, i did keep the calipers, i will weight them tomorrow, probably 18 front and 10 rear.

Did not keep the rotors but i read somewhere they are ~35 front and probably 27 rear.

No track day planned, i can try getting some repeated hard braking done with draggy data but nothing too crazy. Spirited drive in nyc usually doesn’t involve enough braking, i had to drive to Long Island for the bedding😂

Incredibly cheap price for such a kit and with free postage to boot!
Can't tell from the linked ad but do they offer a colour choice for the hats and/or the calipers, and did they supply and fit the leaper logos/decals or did you do that?

yep price was a major contributor to the purchase.

Calipers can be had in blue yellow red black, and possibly other colors, had to ask for white pictures. They are painted as i later found out, anodizing would’ve been better.

Hat can be had in black or silver, and gold as pictured. They are anodized.

Decal image was chosen by myself, otherwise it will be their brand logo dicase. It was applied as a high temp decal over the painted surface, all handled by the manufacture. I’m still a bit upset they messed up the orientation of the leaper, if you look closely😂

18lb oem with pad

13.6lb oem rear with pad and motor

My guess was dead on for the front wooo

rear is heavier than expected for how puny they look

the overall weight reduction is very noticeable accelerating from stop or lower speed, car feels much eager to get going.

So i had more seat time with these, and fitted new rims and tires today, nothing is broken yet, nothing to write home about either, i think that’s a praise, brake should just work, and these are exactly that, the pedal feel is great after i did a second reverse bleed myself.

Intense testing is still on the list, i think these are at least on par with stock, no buyers remorse so far but i do wish they were a bit bigger, i don’t believe in bigger =better but bigger is definitely more visual impacting, especially with the new rims the rear is looking a bit wimpy, again 😂
