Default Brake Calipers

I have a 2016 FType S AWD, with the standard black brake calipers. Something I didn't notice until I've had my car for a few weeks....

The front brakes have a nice black cover that says Jaguar on it.

The back brakes just look like normal brake calipers painted black. Is this how it supposed to be, or am I missing the covers on the rear brakes?

It probably how it's supposed to be, but I hadn't noticed until now, and I think I assumed all 4 had the covers. On the jag website, it's hard to see the rear wheel brakes, and on close up pics, they could be showing the front wheels.

Can someone take a look at their car and let me know?

I park in a garage a work, and when I first noticed, I thought....did some one take them? But they work fine and there is no sign of them being removed, so they probably weren't there and I never noticed.

Thanks,
Tom

My 2014 S is the same way. Probably because the rear calipers are so much smaller than the front ones.

Yes, that's the way it's supposed to be since the rear calipers are smaller than the fronts.

Funny but a couple of weeks after delivery I thought the exact same thing and almost called the dealer to ask where my rear covers were. Went on line and looked at pictures and saw it was normal. It would sure look more dressed with the rears having a similar look as the fronts. Must have been a cost accountant's decision who drives a Civic!! :-)

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the responses. It would've been cool if all 4 had them, but it makes me feel better knowing thats how they are supposed to be.

The rest of us have paddles and can downshift to a stop much faster.

I would paint the rear calipers and put clear coat on them with the jaguar logo on mine but since I leased my car, I don't want to bother in case they want me to restore it back to the crappy factory condition.
