Brake/Gas pedal oddly close to each other?
While I don't think I have enormous feet (11's) I seem to a problem where my foot brushes against the brake when I go for the gas or the gas when I go for the brake. Does anybody else notice this?
In conjunction with that, any aftermarket pedal that I could toss on which might be smaller or spaced apart better? Perhaps I can get the brake pedal cut so it's not as wide? I remember Toyota did that for me in my 4runner for a recall of this specific reason.
Thanks

Maybe the British have little feet
Two years ago when I first looked at the F-Type, I told the salesman that I didn't like the car because the distance between the carpet and brake peddle was too narrow. I have a size 13 extra wide foot.
I recently drove a 2017 and the distance is still narrow, but doesn't seem to be as bad. I purchased the car.
I know this sounds crazy, BUT,,,,,,,,,,whenever I drive my new car I put on my narrowest pair of shoes and It gives me a tiny bit extra room. It sure would suck to hit both peddles at once and get into an accident.
Bottom line, I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one with this problem. You would think Jaguar would have been able to increase the width by a minuscule inch to resolve this issue.
Maybe the British have little feet. Just sayin' !!!!!

me too
i have an XF that i took in today for the airbag recall replacement and my loaner is a '17 F Type R convertible. one of the mgmt people is a friend and i've been considering a trade up to an f Type for a long time.
my first reaction, with my size 12-extra wide feet was there's no way this is going to work. i brush the brake pedal every time i reach for the gas. what a disappointment. does anyone make a smaller aftermarket brake pedal? i can't find one...

None of the online parts catalogs list the pedals or even the MT. Go to your dealer and ask them for the part number. PM me if you need a valid VIN. With the part number you can either Google it for the best deal, or go to Land Rover Parts and Jaguar Spares | Britcar UK Ltd. They have great prices and reasonable shipping costs. These folks might be able to help as well: https://www.jaguarlandroverrenoparts.com/
The other thing you might consider is to take a torch to the pedal shaft and bend the pedal to the left for an additional .25-.50" of clearance.
