Aside from having red calipers (which is always better), has anyone noticed a difference?

My parents '67 Falcon was a bit lacking* in the braking department, but it seems unlikely that any modern car in normal use would be. So, cosmetic, or a noticeable difference?

*If you attempted to slow from Freeway speeds to a standstill using just the brakes, you ran out of pedal travel while still doing 40mph.
