Default BRG with red roof?

was playing with configurator and come up with that combo: BRG with RED roof and red/ebony interior.
What do you think about that unusual config?

I would have gone with red leather in my BRG Coupe but when I saw it in the flesh (no pun intended) I did not like the color. It was bright tomato red. I think it would have looked a lot better had the shade been a dark cherry red. You might want to see an actual example before ordering, it may or not be to your liking.
I think the website feature of letting you try different combinations is excellent, but the paint and interior colors don't give a true idea. For example, the website doesn't show just how much metallic looking the BRG or Santorini Black paint is. And the Windsor Tan looks more orange than it actually is.

But if you like those color combos, you would indeed have an F Type that stands out from the crowd.

If it were me, I wouldn't. Red and green are opposites on the color wheel which mean they will intensify eachother. That's why they make such great Christmas colors.
Resale would be the main concern, but let's face it, it's your car and if you love it, that's what should matter most.

I would do a Google search (if you haven't already) if green cars with red tops. Should help you decide if the look is for you.

my first instinct is to say "do it" but that is usually my take on anything I wouldnt do or spend money on. That said, perhaps I am wrong, but I spent years int he car business and resale would be the biggest negative side. Wraps have come a long way, you can always order a green car and wrap the roof - no downside there...

I actually saw a BRG with Red top last year on an Audi lot. My own opinion is that it doesn't work at all. I'm in the traditional BRG with tan top/tan interior. If maintaning a lite top is a factor(it should be) than go black.

I think he may be pairing color of the roof top on the color of the brake calipers & the brake lenses

That was my second question: is black top easier to maintain?

The saying is, "Green and Red should never be said, Red and Green should never be seen". Wouldn't appeal to me I must say.

Don´t look for the resale. This is your personal F-Type!

I never bought cars in a boring colour for selling it better later.

My bad, I thought you were talking about a hard top initially - I think the red convertible tops are excellent looking but I would not put it with green.

I still think someone needs to come up with a plaid roof. Maybe I’ll bring some sharpies to Maine, I know someone with a red roof - we could make the roof match his hat.

TOTALLY AGREE - black, white, or beige exterior with a Burberry Nova Check pattern or something like the VW Golf interior would be awesome.

OP, sorry to derail your thread, just having some fun. I think the only red roofs I’ve seen have been on white cars, where it works well.

Default Nope

I don’t know man, I’ve got a BRG R and I’m not even sure i enjoy the Red calipers on it. Roof would be way too much IMO.
