Default Bucket List

We all share a common interest, by way of our choice in owning the F Type. It brought to mind, is this the only common thread or is there more?

That said, I thought it might be interesting to hear what are the top items on your Bucket List. Perhaps we (or at least the majority) of us want to achieve in our time goals and or activities, that are rather similar.

I'll kick it off with two...

Attend my Grand Daughter's wedding
Learn to fly

See my daughter be born and graduate college
Go back into business for myself
Visit all of the seven wonders of the world (only been to the great wall and grand canyon so far.)
Own a Porsche 918
Win the lottery (this would enable many of the others)

There are others both those are the top ones that come to mind.

After losing my young wife last year, I can honestly say I have become a little crass and jaded. Owning a luxury sports car has always been on my list, and the F-Type has allowed me to check that box.

The rest of my list isn't appropriate to post on an automotive forum. Have fun, enjoy life. Frequently, it's too short!

I do want to go back to Europe and I've always wanted to visit Prague.

Get this funny car to belch fire and flames while my 84 year old pops who originally built the car is still with us...other than that my bucket is empty.

too many things on the bucket list...here's some that are car related

- own a 911 (because it's an iconic car) [checked]
- own a Ferrari (because it's an iconic make)
- do a 1/4 mile drag race [checked]
- do a track day [checked]
- do an autocross [checked]
- experience Monterey Car Week [checked, kind of, because still lots to see]
- see a F1 race [checked]
- see F1 race in Monaco
- visit Ferrari factory
- drive the 'Ring
- see 24 Hours of LeMans

There's probably more...no formal list, but definitely still a few car related stuff I need to do...

A few things on my list:

- Own a Ferrari
- Own a Lamborghini
- Spend about 3 months traveling around Europe
- Get my pilot's license (something I'm doing as soon as I move back to Colorado next year)
- Own an airplane
- Have a house built for myself (instead of buying something already built) somewhere in the Rockies
- Buy a season pass to Vail and go skiing almost every day for the entire season.
- Quit my job in IT (which I hate) in spectacular fashion, burning every bridge in the process to ensure I can't come back
- Help produce a short film (film industry has always fascinated me - I love movies)
- Spend a summer season as some kind of volunteer in Yellowstone National Park

I'm sure I could think of others, but this is a good start...

+1 on F1 in Monaco. Might need to fulfill this one when May rolls around

I don't actually have a bucket list. A close encounter with the grim reaper a couple of years ago caused me to re-think most all priorities. To be honest, I have been remarkably fortunate in my life, and have been able to accomplish so much. Everything from here on out is "bonus" material.

Orkney, this post brought a smile to my face, not only for your outcome, but that you recognize the goodness in life that is put before you, as do I. During my entire life I was taught that each day is a gift, and treat it as something new, something fresh and something we are blessed with. Great response!!!

I am very grateful for being here, healthy with a loving family, dog and F-Type in the garage.

Bucket List:
See the Earth from Space
Play guitar in a band in front of a large, live adoring audience
Command a large Naval ship or skipper a yacht in a major ocean race.
Participate in a major motorsports race season with wheel-to-wheel racing; finish in the top-5 drivers.
Own an F-Type Jaguar (check)
Quarterback a pro-football team for a season, finish in the playoffs.

Got the Jaguar, life's going pretty good if you ask me! My wife says 55 is getting a little too old for some of the other stuff...

LOL, is this a bucket list or every man's dream? You might as well add in "winning the superbowl!" :-)

These bucket list entries are pretty fascinating. While I'm in the Orkney camp, I've managed to cross off a pretty good list.

Play in a rock and roll band (check)
See Duke win the national championship in men's college basketball (multiply checked)
Finish my PhD (check)
Have my scientific work published and widely-recognized (check)
Be happily married (checked a couple of times)
Receive multiple pilot ratings (check)
Own an airplane (check)
Sell that airplane (check)
Own and skipper a large (50 ft plus) yacht (check)
Sell said yacht (check)
Own a seaside house (check)
Travel extensively on all continents (6 of 7 complete, Antarctica skipped intentionally)
See my daughter graduate from college, grad school, and be happily in a career (check)
Be able indulge my car obsession (checked, 50 and counting)
Race some of those cars (check)
Build a new house my wife and I designed (just checked)
Explore the country in a luxury land yacht/motorhome (partially checked and on-going)
Learn to become a gourmet chef (making significant progress)
Earn and put away enough money to live past 100, comfortably (check)

I don't keep a list, I just do whatever strikes my fancy.
