Well it would be nice not to have to pay $138 for a license frame and locking wheel nuts if you don't want them but they come with the Premium Vision package and all you wanted was the parking sensors ;-) I honestly prefer the a la carte model.

But I suspect the dealers will continue to raise their margins by throwing together packages like the cable TV companies and persuade you not to build to order...I admit, heated seats and steering wheel are useful a couple of days a year here in Texas...

If they adopt the Porsche model, a fully equipped car is going to cost more, much more. Fine if you do not care about all of the nice luxury options, a killer if you do.

+1. I've used that feature maybe once.

I use the memory seats often, 1 setting for driving, and the other setting to move the seat forward to put my jacket on the hook (i hate driving with my coat on). However, I'd rather an old-fashion pull level to get access to that hook. The automatic seats takes forever.

I occasionally let the girlfriend drive (eg if I've had a couple too many!), so I find the memory settings handy, and not just on the driver's seat but the passenger seat as well. I'm setting 1 on the driver's seat and setting 2 on the passenger seat, and she is setting 2 on the driver's seat and setting 1 on the passenger seat. Saves a lot of time faffing about trying to adjust the seats!

Agreed. My missus is nearly 10 inches shorter than me and she has taken a liking to driving the f-type, so the seat memory is very handy.

Too bad. I like these features, many of which are standard or relatively cheap in normal commuter cars now. I find most of them useful including the heated seats and steering wheel. Speaks to me for the fact that Jaguar built this car to be used though maybe it is a legacy of the landrover connection. Regardless these are great options for those of us driving through the winter - Today I had the top down as I zipped around the greater Boston area.

I also use the memory seat every time I drive. I am short, 5'6" and "1" is my driving position. "3" is almost all the way back(leaving room for a hanging coat) to exit the car. That position makes it much easier to enter the car without gymnastics.

I use all 3 settings of the memory seat.

1 - my driving position
2 - my wifes driving position and also used when I need some extra room for hanging my jacket on the hook
3 - dips both mirrors down (and not only the right side one which can be set to dip when selecting reverse) in those cases were I need to see both rear wheels for parking close to curbs etc.

its a price increase by stealth, I ordered an SVR in November and never got a delivery date, now I know why, so i'm fine getting the new spec, however i've a contract that states a price, and that included things like reversing camera which was standard and now a £200 extra, heated seats i specced were £360 now £800 as they are heated and cooled, The dealer still can't tell me if they can honour the original price or when it will be delivered. while the headline price of the car is the same, in my case they are effectively adding £640 to get to the same spec

I actually really like the SVR's front bumper. Very sporty and appealing. I saw a clip of it in red and thought for a moment it looked rather exotic - lambo-esque.

Anyway I was hoping that Jaguar would execute some mild performance upgrades and more wheel choices to go with the CCBs. Also perhaps even making some nicer BBK-style calipers standard on the Type Rs and SVRs. Not too much to expect on a car of this calibre?

The dollar is much stronger against the pound and the euro. At least in the U.S., Jag prices should be going down.

Agreed - price hikes by stealth.

Default Decrease???

In my experience, I have not seen foreign car prices fluctuate with currency changes. In my ignorance, it seems that once a manufacturer sets retail price expectations in a given country, he just escalates the price each year from there.
