Camshaft position error
Hi guys,
after having the amber engine warning light for about a week, i got myself a diagnostic tool: icarsoft lr 2.0.
After running a scan I found these errors:
P000A - Jaguar A Camshaft Position (CMP) Slow Response (Bank 1)
P000B - Jaguar B Camshaft Position (CMP) Slow Response (Bank 1)
P0011 - Intake Valve Timing Control Performance Bank 1 - “A” Camshaft Position – Timing Over - Advanced or System Performance
Reading on the internet the causes could be the
Low oil pressure due to restriction in an oil passage or a bad oil pump
A faulty camshaft position sensor
A faulty camshaft position actuator solenoid
and other things not at all nice to read...
Car is 2.0 My2019 with 26000KM.
Any advice? I'm really worried...
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and tests I can do on my own.

My XE has the 2.0l Ingenium engine, and I had a camshaft position sensor replaced under warranty - it would occasionally throw a code, which I believe is a known failure. I can't locate the invoice right now to see exactly what they reported. Is yours under warranty?
Mine is out of warranty from six months.
I don't think it is difficult to change this sensor and I could change it too. I should know where exactly the one in bank 1 is.
Is there a way to test if the cam sensor is in fault?
Possible that the problem concern camshaft position actuator solenoid?
if you find the invoice and if you remember the error code it would be a good thing ...

VVT failure is pretty common. Dealerships stock them. Double check the item inside the package if/when you get it. JLR has had a bunch of miss-packaged items. (Correct box with the wrong part).
I'd check with the dealer because my dealer reached out to me saying there was an open recall for this. When I asked what it was for they had said it was for a camshaft solenoid.
It might be worth taking a look if that's the case

have you pdf of this recall?

Ask a local dealer if it is covered. (sorry for the pat answer) You did good homework!
From the PDF you posted though, it must be really easy to replace. (only 0.2 hour, or less than 15 minutes?)
