No, he already stated in a previous post that he removed both the head unit and the amp from his XK8s. Which isn't possible for your F-Type or my XJL, because the only aftermarket head unit solutions currently available that allows us to keep our OEM functions, also require keeping the amp in the circuit, because the two circuit cards needed to maintain those OEM functions, also contain the fiber optic connection for the OEM amp. And they didn't design the head unit with separate rca outputs so we could bypass the OEM amp. Only if we didn't care about losing those functions would that be a viable option. Now with my other cars? Replaced everything. Removed ALL factory stereo, and replaced with aftermarket head unit, DSP, amps, speakers.

Depending on model year there is a software update that resolved the buzzing and poor sound quality. The TSB number is posted somewhere in the thousands of related posts. If you can’t find it, I’ll look in my records to see if they listed it on the workorder when they updated my system.
