Default Car just came, no windscreen - options?

car has the mounting brackets in place but no windscreen. 2017 SVR.

Is the oem one good or I saw euro motorsports has plexiglass one and its significant cheaper.

put top down and car seemed windy without it.

thoughts and recommendations welcome.

thanks,
Mike

The OEM mesh wind deflector works well enough, but visibility out the back isn't great. It's adequate, but not good enough to see if it's a Smoky way back there, which is important to some people. But I'm still using it, after 6 years.

If you were British then you’d need these for no windscreen.

The wife likes the view out the back MUCH better with the plexiglass wind barrier. Ours has been great...minimal buffeting, no squeaks as some have reported.

Cost was about $85 USD.

We got ours on Amazon from Euro Motorspeed, back in February. They are currently out of stock, though.

Amazon Amazon

Euro Motorspeed

In previous discussions here of plexi windscreens, several buyers said that they squeaked or fluttered annoyingly. The one we got came with foam pads to minimize flutter, but I didn't install those....no issues even at 80 MPH speeds with the top down.

Thanks for the quick update. At least I can keep an eye out for them.

Someone on the forum had one made from tempered glass. If I had a vert, that’s what I would go for.

I have one, it flexed and squeeked at first, I got a tiny slither of black rubber from a shower scrapper and put it under the bottom of the glass in the middle and thats enough to keep it rock solid. Way better visibility than the OEM

I ordered the Euro Motorsports one for $85 (Plexiglass)... Will report back the difference it makes, and also about any squeaks, etc.

Thanks for the tips from some of you who added a small piece of something to make it a tighter fit.

As I said, E M now includes two foam rubber strips to stop the flexing. You can put them in the 'groove' below the screen.

Did they confirm that the plexi screens are back in stock?

Windrestrictor is best but also expensive. I have it and no regrets.

I can't seem to be able to find one online to buy. Amazon is out of stock and their website is under construction. Any advise?

HaaHaa, see, If you have RUBBERS the sign doesn't apply. Look more carefully next time.

Make of that what you will.

My walls accumulate stuff from all the cars we have owned. In the Mustang's case, it was an '88 LX 5.0, that we owned for 18 years.

In our 'big' garage, we have a proper JAGUAR banner.
