Hi all- I have a 2016 R in ultimate black metallic and will be de chroming the window trim but also would like to add some CF parts as funds allow. In the meantime I bought some vivvd cf wrap to see how it looks before spending a lot of money on cf parts. Initially I will wrap the hood vents and chrome side vents (maybe mirrors). Does anyone have any photos of cf wrap in these parts? I know these wraps do not obviously look as good as the real thing but this seems like a reasonable way to try it out. Thanks.

 

I can put up some pictures of the real thing, but not wrapped parts. I got some VViViD carbon fiber wrap a long time ago for a different purpose (that I never did) and as I recall, it's blacker and glossier than the actual CF parts from JLR.

 

Thanks. Pictures would be great if you have the time. Vivvd now has a more toned down carbon wrap which is the one I got as the high gloss one was a bit much. Thanks for the response.
