I ordered some off Ebay for 8.33 a bottle; I will see next week whether it is truly the right stuff.

My dealer used 5W20 Castrol Syntec in 2014, and 5W20 Castrol Edge last year. Wonder what they'll use this year.

Maserati same thing, $11 a quart and must have the Ferrari symbol on the bottle to be correct one. On Ebay 7 qt. for $40 from Maserati dealer! $40 for the filter for diy guys. Must be same for Jag, bet you can buy oil from Ebay UK.

Noticed after cars & coffee today that my oil level was showing as at the minimum and the note said to add a quart. Went by my dealer and stopped without an appointment. I figured I'd get them to put in a quart. Then it occurred to me that I should just have the oil changed in advance of the Lobster Run. Unfortunately they only had one tech on today (as it was Saturday afternoon) so they couldn't do the oil change but the service manager said to pull it into the bay and the would top it off. One quart poured in later I asked what I owed them and they said "no charge don't worry about it". Nice. Not that they gave me a new set of brakes or anything but I can't help but be pleased with the gesture and top service.

Finally remembered to check my oil level. Have a bit over 24K miles on it, and oil was changed about 8K miles ago (it's due to be changed soon.) Oil level reads at the top.

This pleases me.
