That is a beautiful R, although I can't believe you won't have a nose dragging problem on a lot of driveways. I have scuffed my stock R a couple of times WHILE BEING CAREFUL, and I think each time I do it, I leave a little part of my soul behind.........
Thanks much for the positive comments. I have had to be careful (you know the the turn the wheels perpendicular) for etting in to the driveway. Otherwise no issues. I had to take the car in to have the hood latch adjusted yesterday, and was able to observe my mechanic coming down the street in the car on a test drive. It just looks amazingg going down the street with this new stance. I have owned (sold) a Ferrari 430 and Lamborghini Galladaro, both lower than this one, and neither had bottoming out issues.
I find it hard to believe that lowering the car and putting larger rims doesn't affect ride quality....
Of course it does. Dropping the center of gravity and reducing the tire profile will generally enhance the maximum lateral Gs. The drawbacks include more scraping on uneven surfaces, a harsher ride and more frequent rim damage from potholes.
On most cars, the lower leading edge of the car is easily replaceable, and not very expensive. I replace the one on my lowered MINI every few years. Takes about 15 minutes. Have no clue what is entailed with the F-Type.
Ran into Jeff this morning at Cars and Coffee. Car looks great. The HR drop is probably a little too much for SF but the AP Velocity drop doesn't feel low enough. Guess I'll wait to see if another spring comes out that's between the HR and AP.
first nice sunny day in a while...all the cats were out to play today. also saw dave? (sorry, so bad w/ remembering names) from texas driving into santa row as I was heading across to do some shopping. happy new year everybody! btw, porsche of livermore is doing a new year's day drive if anybody is interested...I might try to go, think last year they had 140 cars!
Good to meet you Shift, at the Cars and Caffeine at Santana Row. It was a super turn out.
Thanks for taking the great pictures of my F Coupe. I love the rear side picture you took.
I loved the car, but mine is at normal height and I still continue to scrap the plastic that goes under it all the time. I guess that I have a crappy garage to start with, and the roads where I live are not that great all the time.
Going to drop my Vert 1.3" with the HRE but keep my 20" Tornado wheels. I don't like the matte wheel choice you made but its all subjective The tint is cool but I like to cruise around SF at night so not sure if its a good idea or not. Seems the spacers and springs are only about $500. Thx for the pics.\\
This past weekend I chnged out the grill jag badge from the red surround to black. Turns out the vert. comes with the black surround grill badge and the coupe the red.
I will post new pics. this weekend. Personally, I lprefer the center grill badge badge in the black surround. Looks more integrated with the grill of the car.

I would have swapped with you, as I prefer the red.
