Default CF Fixed Spoiler Install

Hey guys I’ll be getting a Type R soon!

I really like the CF fixed wing look. Does anyone have a video, post, or general instructions on how to actually install the wings?

also - any recomendations on a wing to buy or avoid

Much Thanks!
Jason

There are two "standard" F-Type wings - the flat fixed one or the SVR fancy one.

right and CF wings have the SVR look.

How are those being installed on the Type R’s?

really good DIY.

The piece that isn’t closing the loop for me is how are the CF SVR style wings attaching.

Do you drill through the OE wing, is there a mounting plate, double sided body tape?

I like the SVR style - just want to make sure I’ve got everything ready to go.

The actual SVR wing is an active wing, so it has motors which will have it's own wiring to deal with.. Are you seeking a fixed "SVR looking" wing or the actual SVR wing itself?

Raised GT style wings they are always mounted "through" the a body panel or attached to some rear structure (depending on the car). Just about all of them that attach that way have a mounting template. However, I would highly recommend taking it to a body shop to have one mounted if that's the direction you are seeking. They will have the tools to do it the right way and not damage the paint.

Sorry, I forget I think there was also a non-active SVR wing as well. But yes, it will need to be mounted "through" the rear somewhere. I say "somewhere" as it just depends on the wing and where it's designed to mount.

Old post, but this may give you some ideas:

If the fixed spoiler is attached to the trunk lid, it is over the OEM dynamic spoiler that rises at approx. 70mph. Must the OEM unit be disabled?

Got it. Yes. Spoiler should be disabled . If it lifts at speed, it will likely tear it off.
