Default In Control Remote App tells me I need service

It will be a year and 3400 miles on August 8. My app is telling me to get service. Guess I will be going to SF soon. I will make sure they have the parts for the fuel filler pipe first.

Yes, I get a message on the dash at around 11 months (since I put less than 16K miles/year on it.) The message is mileage or time based, whichever comes first.

I wonder if my Jag dealer would permit me to bring mine in 3 months earlier than the annual anniversary since my state inspection is due then (my BMW dealer allows this). PITA to bring the car back 3 months after state inspection for service due the dealer being located relatively far

You should be golden, especially since you're on the early side. I did the same alignment in the other direction, since the dealer is about 40 minutes away. Because I was delaying the inspection date a bit, I checked first, but they had no problem with it.

You should definitely ask them. I only got one free oil change, but was told it was 16K +/- 1000 miles, or 12 months +/- 1 month.

If you do..more than likely it will be the dealer that will be covering the cost of your first service. JLR will not cover first service as another member stated...+/- 1 month or +/- 1000 miles.

Considering that oil change is $150+/- and the car is $100,000+/-, just pay for it if they don't go for it. Don't be penny wise.
