You have to log in, and the map you download is linked to your VIN !!!

First you are ask to install a download tool. You also need a USB-Stick with at least 32Gb... Plug it into your PC and format it.
For me the map update for the EU and Russia was 25Gb...

Then run the installer tool [ click on the link on the website for your map.. ] In your screen a very LOW window will appear with a
choice of drives... Its hardly visible but in the right edge is a bar to scroll and choose the USB-stick..

In my case the download took 6 hours [ internet is still VDSL..].

To install :
- start the car and open your navigation ;
- plug in the USB and follow the commands on the display ;
- installation [ USB3 stick..] took with me 15 minutes.

For me its free, as its part of the first 3 years service and 'in control' package.

Its vin related so I can't share it ; it will not work on your car and maybe you loose your present map in the process...
