Dayly driving a 2013 V6 380 hp F-Type convertible, it has done 44.000 kms and I use the roof almost everyday.
I had recently 2 occcasions when I tried to open the hood it failed. After pushing the button i hear the motors working and hear a click over my head and than it only opens for 1 cm and stops.

Trying again no effect! Tried switching everything off, restart the car...all without effect.

Driving with a lot of wind noise coming in...... In the evening trying again and she opens and closes normally....
Dealer read the codes in the computer and resetted/cleaned/greased everything.
When this doesn't work I need two new motors for the roof operation.
Anybody experienced this before?

 

Yep, it had happened to me (I'd opened a thread about it a while back). They replaced the motor and it's been back to normal since then.
