I recently took my 2015 F-Type R to get serviced, oil change, etc. I see an independent mechanic & they usually check all fluid levels, belts, hoses, etc.
They checked my coolant level too, but I noticed that my coolant level appears to be below the minimum line on the reservoir tank. Is this normal? Should I have it topped off? I’ve never had an alert or message saying my coolant level is low.
Yes, anytime a fluid level is below its minimum, worth getting it looked at. It may just need a top up, but also check surrounding area for signs of leaks. For the F , take the engine cover off and look in the valleys for pooled coolant. If the flanged coolant pipes haven't been replaced, the look into getting that done. There are owners who have early Fs that still have the flanged pipes and no issues, but the likelihood of one of the flanged seams giving way is more likely as the car ages.
