Thanks for the pics and videos. Quick question regarding the vinyl stickers, I know you put yours on or had someone do it in advance, but as part of the rally do they wash and put the decals on at the Waldorf? My vinyl shop up here did truck loads of cars based on their websites and social media sites. I'm just wondering for next year. Thanks

Yes, yes and yes .... Some had the stickers sent pre rally and applied by themselves or their detail shop, they also did them right there. But you cannot do 120+ cars in one place. You could opp to have the car washed ... basically power washer, again only so much they can do every night with that many cars and they worked every night all night to get it done.

Corsa does two more rallies this year, Cannonball just sold out and has few places left they on hold right now.

My car is expel wrapped and quartzed so after a few days running Mexican speeds in rain here is the spell check on my car ...

LOL.. Thank you for the response. It's good to know and I'm really considering this next year as I've never done a rally and I'm like a little kid around super cars so I think I would love to venture down this type of event. Have you done rally's like this before and would you do it again? I would assume yes, but figured I would ask anyway. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and hopefully next year I can join you if you decide to do it again.

Yes I have but this was the first "larger" one. For me it is usually a time restriction. this one ran right up against the Gold Rush Rally. We were in DC on Friday and GR came to town on Saturday so it was big day for the local car spotters. This one was basically down the East coast and very convenient for us. many times they are on the West coast, cross country etc and you need time in addition of the actual rally to and from the event, including in many cases shipping your car ... my facebook page is full with car carriers posts from people from Canada and the West coast who participated in this one. So my wife and I pick one that has destinations and locals etc we are interested in and make that our car trip for that year. Other than that I do smaller weekend events. I do a poker run from NYC to Montreal with the AMG NE group in September, that is just Saturday-Sunday ...

Finally got the last set from the Dragon, the photographer has us between passing the M4 and catching up to a 911 vert ... the only time I was able to run free and full bore ... you can tell by my wife's stone face ...

I am happy with the handling of the F-Type. This is basically an AutoCross in the mountains. This is as hard as you can drive an F-Type, in Dynamic mode the car barely shows any lean and this is with suspension fully compressed ... at the bottom a shot of my old Cayman turbo also on the Dragon with all HR coil overs and swaybars, other GT3 suspension bits flywheel, x51 clutch etc .... much heavier lean ...

at 6:15 on this video I have caught up to the 911 ... and me staying inside the lines ... the 911 is very scared with me on his azz and swerved all over the place and crossed the lines at times with the entire car, a BIG no-no on the Dragon ...

Fantastic shots, really well done by the photog. I love the way the car hunkers down in the corners. I've been running some roads around where I live like that but on much shorter runs. My vert really runs on rails most of the time since the new tires. Thanks for sharing all those.

Yes, I am more and more surprised the harder I take the F type how well it handles for its weight. You can feel it braking but not really in the turn ins, the car hardly leans, no pushing over the front wheels like I experienced with my 911 turbo and an Audi would do.
This was on a new set of Michelin PSS and 305 in the rears. I never had any slip or greasing.
The thing that gave after maybe 10 miles and about 280-300 turns of the total 318 was the E-Diff, got hot, warning light came on and started locking, making for a more entertaining drive ... like old days ... It is not a car I would take to the track but would think the E Diff could become a problem after several hot laps ... on a fast enough track ...
