Hi all, does anyone know how easy it is (or if it's even possible) to change the cupholder cover?
Mine has a large scratch on it from the previous owner and I'd like to change it myself if possible. I have a new one on order from my local dealer.
Thanks in advance,
Mick

YES, the soft-touch cover can be changed and changed very easily. The cover is a separate panel which simply snaps in place on the pivoting cover plate. The damaged cover is easily levered off by sliding a thin-bladed knife between the cover and the cover plate - best done at the sides, left and right. This releases the cover from the plate; the chrome piece remains on the plate and the new cover snaps easily into place when you close the plate over the cup holder space. It takes all of 60 seconds from start to finish. Done, and the result is factory fresh.

This thread went off track, didn't it? Well, I now have the answer:

For those who might want to replace this part (I don't need to - yet!), the part numbers are:
Black - T2R4700PVJ,
Mineral - T2R4700LAA.

An unusual thread.
Often a member will only read an OP's question, ignore all subsequent replies and post an answer ....... even when it has already been given.
In this thread, many totally ignored the OP's question and responded to the last 'off topic' post.
Good to see it back on track and with a resolution.

The part number for the BLACK cup-holder cover is indeed T2R4700 PVJ and my cost from my dealer was $72 CAD. I have no doubt that I might have obtained this part more cheaply elsewhere but I have always found that it is worthwhile to maintain a relationship with my Jaguar dealer.
