Default The dark side rides again

Ordered an F Type S 2017 manual (3/7/16) . if your going to drive a car like this you have to row through the gears. Ammonite ,performance seats, premium vision, centrifuge black wheels with black pack inside and out...got everything but the spare tire ..this car looks like a cat staring you down from the front and the back is the sexiest *** I've ever seen (on a car)...looks dark and evil like my soul. Delivery date is 6-20-16
P.S. I am tiring of watching the same u tube videos over and over to get my F type fix.

Congrats man! Sounds like a wicked ride, can't wait to see what it looks like. If you really want to make it truly evil, wrap it in Satin Black and put an aftermarket exhaust on it. When you take it out for night runs, it'll feel like a bat out of hell!

Ooh, you should have some fun roads in the Berkshires. Love the pictures I've seen of ammonite.

Welcome!

If they had called it Satan black I might have considered it...but seriously I felt you started to loose the lines of the car with a dark paint. I've always had a thing for grey. And DJS the back roads in the Berkshires are some of the best windy twisty roads around. I had an S 2000 that was tail happy and a high RPM ride. Can't wait for this toy

Nice to see another s2000 owner. I had an AP1 and an AP2. Enjoy the torque on the Jag. Have you driven the a manual F Type before? Shifter feels like it belong on a lorry compared to the s2000.

That S 2000 had the best shift and clutch of any car I've ever owned or driven. It was so clean and unruly when pushed to red line. I have done several test drives with a manual f type s and yes the clutch feels vague but I will adjust to that. The length of throw is certainly longer that the s2000 but as I'm a bit older now and tail waggling will certainly happen but wont be an every drive event as it was in the Honda. The salesman asked that I keep the RPM's under 4000 so it took me sneaky to 4500 that you start to feel the torque this car is capable of. The sound of the R was too manic for me. This car is the perfect mix of tame when you want and psychotic when that side of you comes out....can't wait

My iron lung (hope your not on one) The black centrifuge wheels look great with the black pack. Check out the on line Jaguar configure tool and assemble an amonite S convertable (jet top) black pack and these rims. This combination talks to me. Jet interior with jet stitch.

Congratulations, the car is blast to drive. Don't forget to spec upgraded brakes, and if you like performance driving replace tires to PSS right away.

Ah you are correct, looks like they removed the option from the base. Actually, there's no options for wheels on the base, that's depressing. I have the 19" black centrifuge on my 15'. I love those wheels.

SinF I assume you have had your 2016 F Type S manual long enough to break it in.. Have you had any issues with clutch slippage ? I actually like the throw of the shift but I'm concerned about what others have experienced with this clutch.
