That audio install looks great! Would you mind sharing some information about what you did? Where did you source those JL audio sub-enclosures? They look factory, and we all know they are not. Did you fabricate those mounts for all the components or purchase those somewhere? Thanks for any info!

My whole install was done by FX Audio in Edmonton, AB, Canada - they didn't even drill a hole - constructed mounts etc to fit in factory locations. They are an award winning shop.... he mentioned that he kept the pattern for the sub mounts - was the hardest part of the install

Are all of the Android 11 headunits essentially the same? A lot of online vendors are applying their own branding and are selling the units at different prices, so it's hard to know what unit you're getting.

I am torn between the UAD unit and the new Android 11 units. The UAD unit comes from a legitimate vendor with stellar support, but the android units seem much more functional.

more functional how? The only thing the UAD doesn’t support is the track fwd/rec on the steering wheel.

With my 2017 F-Type Bosch, I have a choice between the UAD 8" system and the Android 10.25" system. I feel that each has benefits and drawbacks:

The UAD 8" is by now time-tested and proven to work. It also comes from a reputed and English-speaking vendor. The downside is that the screen is significantly smaller and that it does not allow you to install apps directly.

The 10.25" android model appears more prone to technical issues. Tech support is a crapshoot. However, the screen is much larger, the technical specs are much better (i.e. unit is more responsive) and allows apps to be installed directly to the unit.

This is just what I can infer from reading the forum. I have not tried either unit. Would love to hear more opinions on the matter.

Hi Guys,
I've just bought a Harman Android Screen upgrade from AliExpress.
I got no instructions with it.
Would anyone be able to help me identify what connects to what?
I'm in the UK and would really appreciate some help installing it.
It's this one from the DMAIDI CAR DVD Store
Car Radio Multimedia GPS Navigation Android 11 8+128G 10.25 Inch For Jaguar F-Type 2012-2019 Head Unit Stereo Screen - AliExpress

Default Instructions - looks like the Merryway - I have that unit and all the instructions.

I’m travelling at the moment - but will respond tomorrow - just didn’t want to leave you hanging.

youbget No instructions in the box - I had to inquire to get them via email but will post them here either tonight or tomorrow while in flight. Only dodgy bit it swapping the circuit board - but it’s not hard.

Hi,
I think as this is a much later unit, it should be plug and play so to speak.
I'll upload a picture of it soon.
How do you remove the center console side trim I. Order to feed the cables through?
Cheers.

Hi guys,
What's the technique for removing the center console side panel trims?
I've tried with a panel removal trim.
It seems pretty stiff and I don't want to damage anything.
Is there a downloadable guide or anything?
