Supercharger oil.
It's a sealed system with it's own special oil, and according to JLR, the Workshop Manual and the AJ133 Technical Training doc it's "for life" and never needs changing.
But JLR's meaning of "for life" seems to be around 100,000 miles or 10 years whichever comes first.
Maybe one or two very early F-Types with high miles on them could benefit from an SC oil change but that's about it.
Received wisdom is that the SC has to come off to drain and refill the SC oil which is a yuge job, but the OP (George05) has done it without lifting the SC.
He has a post around here somewhere explaining how he did it (he has an XKR with the same AJ133SC engine as the F-Type R) but it's still a pig of a job and not for the unskilled or faint of heart.

I’ll supply the blind fold and beer. You bring the slimline tools. I’ll be doing it in another 18k miles.

I suspect you might have to shout him return air fare across the pond as well!

Is there a DIY on this, anywhere on the internet?

I have heard that many superchargers benefit from a periodic oil change so I'll be keen to learn how. Might need to visit Lance to cheer him on and point out his mistakes...

Yep, George05 posted a pretty good "how to" somewhere a few/couple of weeks ago on this forum somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it and believe me I have searched and searched and searched!

Yep, that's it.
When I said "this forum" I meant the whole site not just the F-Type sub-forum, I was pretty sure it was in the XK/XKR sub-forum but I still couldn't find it.
You're a better man than I Gunga Din!

That’ll be a part of the negotiation.

I thought a "MOD" would have added my "how to Guide " to "Stickies " on the XKR section to help others of the 5l supercharged engine as far as i am aware the same engine is shared on the xkr, the xf the xj and of course the ftype and fpace. I wanted to put some thing back to this forum for all the advice i have had over the years

Ah, he's "just up the road" from me - I may be in touch in about 12 years, George!

It sounds like Lance may be hosting the 2020 East Coast Supercharger Oil Changing Party and Jamboree - whoo hoo!

Actually, not a bad idea. The first attempt will probably take several hours and a full bottle of Scotch. Subsequent oil changes only a few minutes and a shot glass.

He's gonna need to rent a stadium. Or at least, install some bleachers.

I would have thought the supercharger would use oil, but it is a Jag.
