Angry Driver Seat (2016 F-Type S)

10 to 15% of the time when I recall a memorized seat position (driver side) with all the power off the car, the seat will not reposition to the memory position...I can select the ignition on or start the engine, which then allows the memorized driving position to work. The other 85 to 90% of the time, I can get into the car (no power on) and the driver seat will reposition to the memorized seat position and I will get a confirmation on the message center.

Also the driver seat is very close to the right side wall...in certain seat configurations, the seat will rube the right side wall making a noise indicative of leather rubbing against plastic...and because of the resistance the seat sometimes will stop moving forward and regress rearward....then forward in an attempt to find the memorized position...but fails in do so....so I either manual position reposition the seat, or reconfigure the seat and reset the memorial...which then does not allow the optimal seat position...not what I had expected in a $100,000+ car.

Something sounds wrong. My sport seats work perfectly. Their memory works much better than mine does!

I suspect this may be a case where ECO mode shut the car off before you had a chance to turn off the ignition. I've found when that happens, the roof stops where it is (if I'm raising or lowering it at the time), and I have to start the car to complete the operation. It seems like a more thorough power-down than simply turning off the ignition.

If I turn off ECO, or leave the car in dynamic, that never happens.
