Can someone explain to me the history of when a quad tip started to be more aesthetically pleasant than dual, and why? I have zero agenda or opinion here, just don't identify or get quad. It seems more of a ricer or BMW meathead look??

EDIT: I THINK IT LOOKS SO GOOD ON THE ABOVE PICS. I do. I am not trying to be rude, or say "my opinion" is right. I am suggesting that my opinion doesn't mean anything, and curious as to when quad guys started liking quad and why?
To me it really depends on the car. For example; Mini Cooper S models have a center exit exhaust exactly like the V6 F-TYPEs as does lower model Porsches. I think it works on those cars as they are nowhere near the size of an F-TYPE. The "issue" I have with the F-TYPE is that the center exhaust sort of creates the illusion of the car having a pinched rear end. The quad exhaust setup accents the curves and the rear hips of the car. Its all mental/visual game.

PS: No need to justify your thoughts or opinions. They all have their own merits.

I agree with your comments on why some like the quad exhaust setup.

However I don't think the GT3-RS is considered a "lower model Porsche"

Came out great! How long until the company releases the exhaust/valance kit?

nailed it. solid and thanks. I only over justify like that in internet forums. I am not against spirited debate and disagreement, but it's such a colossal waste of time when it isn't intentional. I rather sound overly soft than dive head first into a 2 week waste of time. lol

Hot!!! This setup is nice.
Where did you get the exhaust ? Is it custom. I want to do the same.
What about the valance? Which one to get?

Gooday.

A few of us have fitted the VAP valvetronic touring quad exhaust to the V6S with spectacular results. Unhing'd is the expert on it, I muddled along with his guidance. The sound is epic but you wouldnt do it if you wanted your car louder.

I looked at valances at the time. Over here there was no prospect of buying an OEM one from ebay so it was either getting an aftermarket one from Aliexpress in carbon fibre (some looked OK but I wasnt willing to risk it) or buying an OEM settup from Jag and being stitched up horribly on the price (which I did). So here the valance was pretty much the same price as the exhaust, which made it a $10K (AUD) job, a bit more because I did the pulley and tune at the same time. That said, the car performance is now out of sight, the sound epic, and I far prefer the looks so I think it was worth the dough.

I like the center twin exhaust - I drive an MKV R32 as my poor weather car and the center exhaust looks way better than the GTI that is spread out. As far as retaining the look of the E-type, the basic silhouette of the car has similarities, but that is where it ends and I think the quads were designed and fitted with the perfect balance of elegance and being a fire breathing dragon. I agree with the OP, the center exhaust does look good, but I also think the outboard pipes balance it more and have a better aesthetic. All opinions of course, just saying that I never set out to buy a car with quads - just happens that I require a minimum of 500hp to pick up pizza every Friday night (I like hot foods hot....) and my choice has four trumpets instead of two.

I had the sport design kit on mine which bulks up the back end in the 6, because of the body coloured bottom piece. As a result, from the back end with the centre pipes I kept seeing a Corgi's **** (with the pipes being the butt hole) and I couldnt unsee it. I think it doesnt look as bulky with the bottom piece in black.

White Tardis — I’m not able to PM you. If you can shoot me an email or a way to contact you I had some questions about this conversion. Very nicely done.
