Dynamic mode.
Dear all, I have a question about the F-type V6S. I know when the car is in dynamic mode you have available all 380bhp, also quicker shifts and adaptive suspension. ( anything else?). How many bhp do you have on tap when the car is in normal mode?
Fairly sure the mode makes no difference to max power except maybe winter/snow/ice mode might reduce it a little.
Also I don't think the shifts are any quicker just that at WOT each gear revs out a little higher before the next upshift.
Yes to firmer suspension.
Also quicker/sharper steering.

Yep, the adaptive suspension also goes into its stiffer mode when you enable dynamic mode. So dynamic mode in an S essentially stiffens the suspension, sharpens the steering, sharpens the throttle response, opens the exhaust and switches DSC to Trac-DSC IIRC. The lap timer and G meter features, if you have them, are also only enabled in dynamic mode. Finally I also think the launch control feature only is available in dynamic mode. If you have the configurable dynamic mode option you can configure if dynamic mode should change the suspension, steering and throttle response.
As far as I know all 380 horses are always available regardless of driving mode selected. It just takes a little longer to unleash them all if you're in normal or winter mode.

If you have configurable dynamics you can set the 4 areas to either dynamic or "normal" - sometimes software updates force themn back to normal (it happened to me!). Worth checking!
Dynamic mode also means that the throttle opens more for any given amount of pedal travel. Makes the car feel more powerful, but that is an illusion. And there is a downside, which is that if you are pushing the car in "spirited" driving it becomes harder to find the perfect balance of throttle input that allows you to take the car to the limit in a corner exit. In other words, you are more likely to overpower the rear tires and start to slide. If you have configurable Dynamics you can customize Dynamic to reset the throttle response to the normal setting, which I did. That also improved my rev matching in my 6 MT car,

Interesting perspective but it's the throttle response in Dynamic mode that makes the car a lot more enjoyable for me. I find it much easier and satisfying to rev match the gears in my 6MT in this mode. It's the only mode I use all year round only exception is when the roads are too slippery due to grime or ice but I hardly ever drive the F-type in these conditions. That's what the SUV with all season tyres is for 😉
How does it help with rev matching on your 6MT? Thanks.
The throttle needs a shorter input compared to standard mode to rev up the engine giving me just enough time to down shift on the sweet spot. I also enjoy giving a feather blip on the throttle when up shifting (1st to 2 nd to 3rd mainly) to keep the rev up as I feel the engine speed drops a bit too fast in some scenarios.
It sounds cool, a bit like a motorcycle 😎
