Default Dynoing my car before CAI install .....

Hi guys,
as many of you know, I recently purchased the Eventuri Cold Air Intake kit. Many of you have asked me to do before and after Dyno testing to compare the horsepower gains. Well ... I have search my area for a Dyno shop to do just what I've described. I also am curious to see the outcome after the install is done. I reside in Northern NJ. There are no Dyno shops in my vicinity. There are a couple of shops in South Jersey about 100 miles away. Very far for me to drive, just not worth it. In addition to the he shops being located far from me, they do not have ALL WHEEL DRIVE Dyno machine, only rear wheel drive. So even if I wanted to drive to the shop, they are not equipped to do an all wheel drive vehicle. Does anyone know of a Dyno shop that has an all the wheel drive Dyno machine located in NJ. If the weather improves here in NJ, with winter roadsalt washed away from rain, Im hoping to take the car out sometime in March, to bring to auto shop for the CAI install.

Take a road trip down to Baltimore and have John Behe do the before/after runs as well as the CAI installation. He's got an RWD/AWD/4WD Dynapack (load-bearing!)

Default If only ....

I wish I have some free time but I'm very busy with work , working 6 day schedule. I can take off from work to go on a mini road trip. That's why I tried to find someplace relatively local. Unfortunately no luck finding a shop to Dyno the car in my area.
Maybe there is a place I'm unaware of, and if so please anyone who may ght know, do let me know.
Thanks.

PowerHaus Performance in Cherry Hill, NJ has an awd mustang dyno. Same place that has done all the work on my car.

Come down and do it here, I'll swing by and buy beers afterwards

Default Jay .....

I'll consider it, just need to have some free time from work. I vhecked the distance from my location to Cherry Hill. The distance is 106 miles away from my home. Far...
I'll call them and talk to the guy there. But then need to find a place to do the CAI installation. Don't want anyone to do the install based on trial & error.

Default Powerhaus , negative review .....

Jay,
i checked on internet for there web site and it seems to be down. I did however read some reviews which are not good. Here is an example which was written a couple of months ago. The original owner is gone and review says the place has gone downhill.

REVIEW QUOTE :
" Absolutely disgusted with the work done to my sons car twice we left the shop and did not make it home finally got the car home 2 months later to find out they left some parts off the car was not put back together correctly now more work has to be done we definitely will not go back ever im a business owner and this is no way to run a business furthermore I will be reporting them to better business Bureau and contacting my attorney. "

I'll say it again ... bring it down to Baltimore for the day. RPR Automotive can do the before/after dynos and install the CAI. They have experience pulling the F-Type nose (to install my upper pulley).

Default Looks like a good shop but ..........

Unhinged,
its a 4 hour drive, 220 miles to the auto shop. Mamma Mia !!!

I checked the shop hours, they operate Mon - Fri. Closed on Saturday. Weekdays aren't good for me. Too busy. Oh well...

But, what better car to do it in? (fully understand the drawback, though)

Wow, I'm more concerned over their website and IG being down than the review. As everyone knows there are *almost* always a few bad reviews out there. But can certainly understand your concern...let me do some digging for you, as I can only report back with my experiences there.

Alternatively, I must agree with Mr Unhingd - I say, plan for a Friday there - take the day off work, stay overnight...I'll head down from S NJ and we'll turn it into a Jag meet

Default Guys .....

Realistically, this would be a two day road trip. There's just no way I can be away from work at this time.
ShawnPa , I'll check out the website to see if maybe I can find a place closer to me and more practical. Maybe somewhere in Long Island, NY.
