Default El Plan

El Plan: to be that person with the old cool car enjoying it forever...like the person with the well patina'ed air cooled 911 or E-type...just using it...that is my "el plan" for this F type.

It has been reliable enough for sure. Every day. All weather (awd coupe).

Sort of like this:

https://www.hagerty.com/media/mainte...ive-an-e-type/

I just find it so much cooler to see a person enjoying a classic sports car than a person in a new haptic limited 60k golf.....

Wondering how many of you also have the same or similar "El Plan"....

My plan is to drive my car until I cannot drive anymore, the to move it into my living room so I can look at it every day.

Doubt the convertible top would last long with the car as a coffin, but might be worth considering.
Probably better keeping the coupe to eternity

I like the living room idea.

I was 49 when I bought my car. I just turned 60.

Mission accomplished.

Default Until the right elbow and left knee give out

Will keep both the 69 E and the 2017 F until such time as not physically possible to drive, considering overall neurological state, also includes 2018 Corvette and 2013 Golf, all manuals.

Eh the haptic thing in the golf is one of the most overblown automotive journalist tropes I’ve ever experienced

Hear you. VW has removed the haptics for 2025.

Aqui es la probelma con, El Plan.

For decades I've wanted to drive a REALLY nice early sixties Mark II. If you are not familiar with these classic Jags, check one out close up. Problem is, they are old technology and just not safe to be driving on Southern California freeways. Interpolating to the future, imagine what cars are going to be like in 25 years!

I say enjoy the hell out of your car today and let the future take care of itself!
