Default Electrical Issues After Minor Rear-End Collision

Hi everyone,

I recently had a minor accident where a Dacia rear-ended my Jaguar at a very slow speed, hitting the right side of the rear end. Thankfully, there’s no significant damage to the body, but immediately after the collision, a bunch of electrical issues started:
  • The screen and AC stopped working.
  • Music is not functional.
  • The rearview camera, parking sensors, and blind spot warning are all unoperational.
Has anyone experienced something similar?

I would check a copy of the shop manual (there are links to copies of it on this forum) and see if there are any sensors or modules near the impacted area and check those. Also check all electrical connections near the impacted area.

You might also want to check fuses.

I'd also recommend checking the electrics in the back. It takes half a minute to pull the floor panels and get access to it all, including the battery terminals. I had one of those come loose and it would cause glitches in the screen when I hit a bump just right (or wrong).
