Engine tune dealer service question
My 2014 V8s has a parking brake fault warning. Not a voltage problem and no obvious wire issue so might have to go to the dealer. Do you guys with tunes revert back to stock or is it not a problem for a tune when modules might need replacing?
Don't worry about it. Some owners are very cautious, especially if they're still in the warranty period, but you're well beyond that.
As a side note, a dealer - could - figure out the system has been modified, even if you revert. They just won't (and don't really care if you have an unrelated issue).

I would put a locking cover on the OBD port so they can’t hit you with an updated stock flash. They did this to my car when I had it in for cat replacement (covered under warranty). The result was a locked ECU that needed the $100 VAP unlock credit and then a reflash…was quite annoying.

If they need access to the OBD to complete service, then just make it very clear you don’t want them touching the tune (make sure it’s written in your maintenance file). You don’t have to specify that you have an aftermarket tune, just that you like the existing the way it is.
