Default F-type 2.0 mods

What can I do to help power? I’m currently getting a custom exhaust built to improve the sound.

is there a time available for the 2.0? I couldn’t seem to find one.

what else can I do?

it’s one of the cars I own, I also have a 2017 STI and 2012 370z.

I couldn’t afford another $20k to get the v8 without needing to get rid of a car

Gooday. I think Powerhouse might have done something with his, you could PM him.

I'd look to the UK for tunes, they have had the p300 engine there for a few years in the XE and there are quite a few tune options available with gains of around 10% in power and torque.

We have that engine in our XE and I love it, grunty and linear, a great match for the transmission. It doesnt need more power in the XE, but I suppose in the F Type you might want a little more drama.

Be sure to show off your custom exhaust, I have a SuperSprint one on order but I'm debating on just doing a custom one. As for tunes I saw that Paramount Performance had a tune that adds about 40hp.

Go easy on the exhaust. There's an EcoBoost mustang I hear almost every time I visit my friend and it sounds like a dirt bike..

following closely.

Afraid the answer is the same as was for our 99 ford Taurus Yamaha V-8.

Due to the limited number of units folks do not invest much in trying stuff for the car. On the Ford the engine was sort of maxed out at least to the easy stuff. We put a fancy intake on the car. Made it louder. Nothing on the butt dyno thou.

Love the car. Actually only having 300 hp maybe is good. Tires last longer!

thanks! I’ve been checking them out - but I am located in Canada, from the way I read it - I need to bring my car there?

I doubt it, usually they would have a local agent, and some tunes can be done through a dongle.

Got the exhaust done today, straight back from mid pipe.

overall I’m happy with the sound, and they maintained the valve so when it is closed it is not too loud.

pic below, sound clip, iPhone microphone doesn’t do it justice, it’s so deep.

That sounds SO nice, the more I keep hearing these mods the more I'm thinking about just cancelling my SuperSprint order and going this route

So far I've had my five month old P300 tuned. Went to Felix Tuned in NJ .. a few hundred bucks later & we were able to get 282 horses to the wheel and 330 torque hp.

Nothing huge & I still get gapped .. but from what I was told, anything higher runs a risk of the engine blowing.

You definitely feel the extra torque kick in when cruising around the highway.

What were the baseline numbers when they started tuning?

I reached out to seriously 6 shops and not one of them got back to me since then. So I still have the SuperSprint exhaust on order. Which kind of sucks because it's like blowing almost 2k when these other setups are way less and sound awesome
