Default F-Type Coupe order lead time

Hello, I was curious about your experience purchasing your f-type coupe. Specifically lead time. If I want a very specific configuration then how far in advance should I order? I assume that 3 months lead time should be sufficient? Since it seems to be the hot new car right now I wasn't sure if there was a waiting list with a longer lead time, possibly closer to 6 months?

I didn't order a specific car, but I did call around the area around me and also called Atlanta which was in a different state and found one configuration which I liked. Had some extra stuff like power tail gate which I didn't really care for, but at this point, I was pretty happy with all the other options added to it. So I placed a deposit down and they said that they will receive it the 2nd week of May. There were 2 cars coming into that same dealership in April. When asked about a specific config, they said probably 3 months time...

What color, wheels, and options are you getting?

The exterior color is stratus grey with 20" black tornado rims panoramic roof and power tailgate. The interior is jet with red stitch. Has the vision package which was a must since I have little kids and want to see the back when in reverse. Seems like the R already has most of the options so no need to get the performance pack or climate pack since it appears to be already built in.

That's the color I'm thinking of too. Hope you post some pictures when you get it.

I ordered a stratus grey V6 coupe this week.
My delivery date is the 3rd week of June, so lead time was almost exactly 3 months.
Demand is ramping for the coupe, so if you do decide to order see if the dealer has an existing production slot that they can modify to fit your order, otherwise lead could be longer.

I configured a Polaris White / Red Duotone Type R interior Feb 1st and got on the dealer build allocation for the month. I should be receiving it in April so timing is likely around 3 months if you get on the dealerships build allocation.
