I thought all the drought and wild fires made you guys depressed? Now you complain about the rain too?

 

Nah, I'm good. It'll take a little time to get used to seeing anything green again, but I'll manage. Where I live, it's been a constant worry. I'm inland a bit and the hills have been a tinderbox. Mt. Diablo had a pretty big fire last season, and I got to watch it from the back porch. Not fun, but compared to southern California, I've got little to complain about.

 

I don't envy you guys at all. I can say though, be careful what you ask for. Look how Texas went from severe drought to severe flooding in a few months. Hopefully you get some gentle showers and enough rain to water your crops and slowly fill your water supply.

 

Yes. We've either been on fire or dealing with floods and mudslides, without much time in that sweet spot in between. The snowpack in the Sierra is what will break the drought. The snowmelt is what fills the reservoirs.

 

If this keeps up California might eventually become affordable. :-p

I was thinking maybe we all do a track day at Laguna seca. I can check if they rent the track out or we all can meet up sonewhere and maybe do an hour drive to somewhere. Weather has been crap so we have some time to prepare and put something cool together. If anyone has any ideas post em. I'm in Santa Cruz and willing to drive a few hours to do whatever.

Honestly, I "have" to drive from Marin to Napa this weekend to pick up some wine. =) In the rain no less. If it drops under 55 I will be upset. JOKES... I saw that post about 5 wind chill. ouch.

That drive out to Pt Reyes via Lucas Valley might end up being the long way round. =)

 

Lucas Valley Road, through Nicasio, past the reservoir and then into Pt. Reyes Station for lunch? Then 1 North through Tomales to Valley Ford Road, across to Petaluma, 116 to 121 to 12, and into Napa?

North-bay peeps, i'm always up for a nice drive (i'm not a fan of rainy weather either though...the R stays garaged in bad weather). I'm up in Marin, so sonoma, western marin, etc...

I am down for either, tho I am closer to Sonoma... that being said, I will drive to either track which is better for a larger group. I have been waiting for a dedicated track day. I bet it would have to be months in the future to secure the track. I wonder how many cars. Maybe open it to any nutty jags in the forum.
