F Type and Drive-in
Out of curiosity, is there a way to have the radio work while watching a movie at the drive-in without sitting there with the car running? The drive-in here broadcasts the sound on an FM radio station.
The F-type radio will shut down after a few minutes to avoid draining the battery. You might want to bring a battery-powered radio to the drive-In theater. Alternately, there are couple of phone apps—AudioFetch and Cinewav.
Especially since it won't play while you're driving. (Well, MINE will, but it didn't come that way.)
For drive-ins, my first car was ideal. A '67 Mercury Comet station wagon, with a 200 c.i. 1-barrel and 3 on the tree. Options: None (including no radio). Not much for drag racing, but, it WAS a great date car. BYOB (Blanket) What WERE my parents thinking?
