F-Type Gone . . . C7 Here
Just because I am now without an F-Type does not mean in any way that I've lost interest in the car. I still love most everything about it. I already miss the V6 exhaust note, which I thought was magnificent.
I've also grown fond of many on this forum. I'll jump in now and then, but only when I feel like I might have something useful to say, or perhaps to banter w/ my "friends." :-)

Best of luck, Foosh! You've been a great forum friend to all of us with sound advice and perspective.
Looking at the pic's, I'm sorry to lose you to the dark side, but my brothers (the 'vetter's) will welcome you with open arms.

Wow Foosh, I'm a little bit shocked! Always thought you'd be a member who would be around for a long time!
Nevertheless, congratulations on the C7. This forum will definitely lose a valuable member (while the respective C7 forums gain a new one). Your sound advice and insight will definitely be missed!

I'm a 10-year member over there under the same handle, but it's not a terribly enjoyable place.
Thank you!
In other words, very similar to the F-Type demographic, even though both attract plenty of younger owners :-)
You've met Foosh!?
Couldn't resist...
Sad to hear anyone leave the F-type family ... but totally understand missing the MT! Care to comment on the feel of the vette in the MT? Given the problems some of us are having with the '16 manual clutch, curious to hear how the vette performs.
Good show Foosh. Corvettes have a well deserved following. To my eyes, the current crop seem to yearn to be a bat mobile. Not specifically a bad thing, just not my thing.
How does it compare in terms of handling and all of that?

We dont get them (the C7) here though they are a chance to be the GM halo car when local production stops. In Oz, they would be a very rare and exotic car. Congratulations, and thanks for your input when I was looking for a car.
The clutch is the perfect balance between light and firm feel. Engagement point is obvious and immediate. Shifter is the best I've ever had w/ precise and very short throws.
Nice. Black is the only colour that looks right on the C7 IMHO. I was going to order a new 2017 Z06 convertible in triple black but couldn't get past a few of the styling elements of the Z06, namely the rear spoiler and the front fender extensions. Chevrolet should have done to the C7 Z06 what they did to the C6 Z06 and moulded new fenders for the front.
This will be the first generation Corvette I've skipped since the C3. The F Type R offered more of what I was looking for and I still have my supercharged C6 convertible with 650hp on tap. I'll see what the C8 has to offer.

It clearly has crazy amounts of grip on PSS ZPs (run-flats).
Foosh, keep the shiny side up, the rubber side down and stay in touch. Except for the E-Diff, there a lot of features on the Z51 I wish we had available on ours. If I could just cannibalize your C7 to build my F-Type...
