Default F-Type Rear Lowering Springs DIY

Hi Group...

After publishing other DIY articles/documents on this forum (and recently Front Coils/Struts DIY), I thought I would continue as I do mods to my car, to the extent they are useful and/or helpful.

As mentioned before, modifying cars is my relaxing hobby. I enjoy learning about them and modifying or fixing them. For the last number of years, I have been doing that in the Porsche and BMW forums/communities, so I thought as I continue to modify (play) with the F-Type, I would document some of those items here as well.

I recently installed lowering springs, with quite a few challenges noted HERE. I took some photos and documented the process, and put them in my DIY template. I have attached the REAR process, and will likely get the FRONT is posted HERE. I have received lots of requests for this rear, so finished up this AM .

NOTE: These are created in the spirit of helping others. If you have a better way of doing it, knock yourself out!...this is simply what worked for me.

Just installed Eibachs over the weekend and having this would have been especially helpful beforehand (in my case, I found the rears more difficult than the front). This is definitely going to be a huge help to others. Kudos.

Thanks. Sorry I did not get completed sooner. And agree, the rears are a B@tch to get pushed back up into the holes in the tower. I do it all myself...A helper would have made it much easier. I found marking the bolt locations on the side of the strut cap, and on the underside of the strut tower to be a big help....And lots of bungie help to hold while I went back topside!

Take care,
DC
