No, the socket is ignition-switched.

Some people have installed a cigarette lighter socket in the trunk liner, attached to the battery (or bus bar), for easy connection.

My neighbor just conveyed that although my R is loud, my Ram 1500 Limited hemi is louder. Don't quite believe that, but he is a car/truck guy and likes to hear either, morning or not.

Rather than a lighter socket which is big and bulky, ctek sell a small connector socket (complete with red, amber and green led to show battery charge level). Easy to fit into trunk liner and just plug ctek straight in. I put it in mine and it's v convenient.

Wiring it in is safer than clips that can pop off.

And a lot more convenient to connect. I really must get round to doing mine.

I found a 2016 with 20k that has a CPO warranty through October for just under $45k. The dealer is offering a "Platinum" Axiom branded warranty for an additional $5,700 that covers 3y/36k. It's an exclusionary warranty and excludes;

-Battery and battery cable/harness, standard transmission components, SRS (including airbags), glass, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, fuses, circuit breakers, brake rotors and drums, all exhaust system components and the following emission components: hoses, lines, catalytic converter, EVAP sensor; weather strips, trim, moldings, bright metal chrome, carpet, paint, bumpers, convertible tops, and a few other things that don't apply.

-Any breakdown caused by contamination, overheating, the lack of coolants/lubricants, sludge or restricted oil flow

-A gradual reduction in a covered parts operating performance

Seems expensive to me and has a big pile of generic loopholes.

Does anyone know if the "Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance Coverage" is transferable? The 2017 manual shows that the cars come with 5 year / 60k scheduled maintenance. I was wondering if that was transferable between owners?

Yes. When we traded out the '17 F Pace last year, the dealer used the remaining balance of the Maintenance Coverage as a selling point when he listed it and it sold within 3 days.

Thanks to all of you for your help. I’m flying out in a few hours to go look at one. Hopefully I’ll be an owner later on this afternoon.

Wish me luck!
