F-Type SVR Production numbers and more
#81
Hello Ftyperegistry,
maybe you can help me. I bought private a caldera red SVR and the history from 04/2017 to 11/2020 is unknown. The vehicle has no PDI and no maintenance history. Country of registration is UK (warranty start 9/2019) but the vehicle is located in Germany.
I am looking for the number of SVR delivered in 2017 to EU countries to find out which country my svr was from 2017 to 2020.
thanks in advance.

I thought that was the one you were talking about since I saw it for sale recently. So your SVR is a pre-production car that was used for media/press events, etc. After Jaguar UK was done with it, it was sent over to the country it was built for - Germany.

Like I mentioned in my post your car is a pre-production 2018 SVR. Regular Production on the 2018 model F-Type started in early 2017. However, since yours is a pre-production car it was built in late 2016, while the 2017 F-Types were still being built. That is normal practice among car manufacturers where they build pre-production cars for media/testing. Maybe that is what they mean. You can be sure yours is a 2018 model F-Type. 2018 SVRs and newer have LED headlights like yours and updated seats. I have attached some pictures so you can see the differences between 2017 and 2018s. 2018 model year VINs end in JCKxxxxx . Whether the vehicle was not built for the EU market, not sure why they would say that. Also the dealer saying the vehicle was in Austria is not meaningful. It is not uncommon for vehicles to transact between European countries.I only have the data from the Jaguar Topix system and it listed Germany as the country it was built for. I guess you could ask them for the build info printout so you can see the country it was built for or if you are willing to get a 1 day membership you can get the build info yourself. https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com

Thanks. Glad to be of help to the community. I wish Jaguar USA would be more helpful regarding sharing production numbers and data. Seems like all other countries/dealers get at least some of it.

Hi everybody, i had this same question of how many SVR's were produced, because here in my country (Colombia) we have a SVR 2020 model painted in a very special color, so i was wondering if somebody of you could tell me like how rare is this color, i think is called "British Racing Green Sattin Matte" also you can check it in my
about this car, thanks.

I was actually going to post about this SVR before. Someone asked me what was the rarest color SVR out of the more than1800 made. Well it is this one. 1 of 1 British Racing Green Satin Matte delivered to Colombia in 2019. It was used by Jaguar of Colombia for events/media then sold. The last pic I saw of it recently the stripes have been removed.
For all other colors there exists at least 2 SVRs; Except this one.

Firesand SVR
Thanks. And yes that is what I am thinking about doing, have that site where current owner's, can submit pics of their SVRs.
I am at the point that I am able to make a pretty close estimate that there were between 1800-1900 SVRs produced worldwide. With about 630-650 allocated to the US.
Of those 600+ SVRs in the US 467 of those are 2017. That means that between about 200 or less are model years 2018-2020.
Jaguar produced so many SVRs in 2017 that had to scale back production aggressively. It has been surprising to find that about half of all the SVRs produced are 2017.
In terms of rarity, besides the SVO Premium colors for 2019-2020 and the Bespoke options for 2017-2018 (Like Feral SVR's BRG) which are are very few; the rarest color is
Firesand Orange - Only available for 2017 model year.
64 Worldwide, 18 for the US. Actually 17 only because the Pre-production car that was used by Jaguar for advertising, auto shows was never sold.
The most common color for all years is Ultimate Black/Santorini Black making up between 20-24% of all SVRs on any given year.
