F type weekend
Lol, nice one Ricky and probably right on the money Unhingd.
1 more sleep before I get my hands on her, I really aim to get as much wheel time as possible allowing for a little sleep here n there of course.
We've had some brilliant weather here recently, of course the past few days....not so much, so fingers crossed for a little sunshine and dry spells
Lol, thanks
I already have a nice Jag which I love dearly, flaws n all, but this will be a different animal altogether.
You know Unhingd, I really don't in all honesty.
I don't wanna be the guy that's calling every 5 minutes and asking either, I guess I'll take what I get and be thankful either way.
If I had to put money on it, I don't see it being the F type R AWD, a slim possibility on the F type S, but more likely the F type
Still unsure also as to whether it'll be convertible or coupe, or even MT / AT
It's almost like a lottery, except I'll win either way I suppose
I've put around £200 away for fuel, as no doubt I'll use it
Wow!!
All I can say is wow, what a beautiful sporty convertible, what power and that exhaust note to die for, have the biggest grin on my face in such a long time!!
It's the V6 F type S with 380bhp in Rag top guise, maybe get some sunshine too with a little luck. I've set aside an obscene amount of money for fuel as I'll be driving it as often as possible for maximum fun.
Did I mention that exhaust note ??
I've driven the one of the last XKR's with 500bhp and loved that too, even with only ( did I just say ONLY?? ) 380 bhp she's gorgeous, I'm in love and want one, end of.
I know you guys, all know what they look like, but here she is anyway.......

Managed to get the phone paired and a few other bits n pieces, but other than that I'll be spending time driving, it's going to waste too much time to delve in and get to know about all the bells n whistles.
No write up from me, there's been many done, you all know what you know, I'm off out to play, see you late Sunday at some point maybe....

Head to whatever country won't extradite you back to the UK.
Red over red is 'interesting', first I've seen of that.
Do be sure to put the top down at some point, even if the weather isn't great. That's the way this car needs to be driven!

Well I can't say it would be my choice, but still very nice. I saw a lovely white F type S with a black roof ( very nice )
For me probably Red with tan roof, but I still love it........
Lol, trust me, it was a thought that crossed my mind......
I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but even from Friday to Sunday around 4pm, I honestly don't have time to really check out everything about the car, all the bells n whistles, just time enough to enjoy the ride, the sound and the performance.......
Well now in countdown mode till she goes back, only 4 hours left......I'm off out to enjoy her and will get her cleaned up quickly to go back as good as she came to me.......
Love this car and really, really don't want to give her back!

Well, didn't think it was too sunny yesterday, but now suffering from "convertible face" as in stingy sunburn......lol
Is that even a phrase?
If not it should be, but I don't care, so so worth it!!
The F type went back today around 4pm, so reluctant to hand the keys back, they had to prise them off me.
The power and exhaust note is simply intoxicating and very addictive, especially more so in Dynamic sports mode with active exhaust ON......
Looked for and found many tunnels / underpasses and contributed greatly to noise pollution in a big way!
Loved the rising centre dash vents, very very Star Trek like and a cool feature. The top down or up in around 12 secs impressed.
Being a little OCD etc I cleaned it in one way or another a few times, especially the wheels to rid them of brake dust for a smart clean look and also removed several hundred flies / insects etc etc from the windshield, number plate and front bumper area.
I had put aside around £200+ for fuel for the weekend, expecting at least that. I used her constantly, mostly in Dynamic mode, the exhaust crackling and spitting and also used the power ( a lot of the time ).......
Fuel bill was around £140 and so much less than anticipated. MPG was??
I have absolutely no clue and couldn't car one jot.....lol
One of the things that really impressed and surprised me ( putting aside the power / performance and exhaust note / looks etc ) was the ride!!
I had an Audi A5 in S line guise ( sports suspension ) once for a short while, a short trip resulted in my insides feeling like they were in a blender, almost like bruised ribs......not a good feeling and one I couldn't / wouldn't live with.
This F type as a true sports car, low slung on 19" rims with great handling in standard format was so so compliant, I genuinely couldn't believe it. She just soaked up the bumps, rough roads etc and handled very well.
It was only in Dynamic mode that I seemed to notice these a little more, but still, not too bad.......very impressed all round.
The one thing, probably the coolest of all that was missing??
The remote top controller as available on the XK range by the JagWrangler......I really think that Jaguar missed a trick with that!!
Now trying to see how I can raise £70k+ to get the car I want, the car I need, the car I must have.
You guys are so lucky, I'm very envious, my time with the F type is at an end........for now!
